Registering
Go to the Register page and choose your username. Your username can only be alphanumeric characters (letter and numbers); no spaces or funky characters. Careful! If you plan to become an NeighbourFinder seller, your username will also be your shop name. After you've found a username, enter a password and a valid email address. (We are vehemently anti-spam, you can read our Privacy Policy here.)
We require everyone to confirm their email address. After you complete the first register page, you will receive a confirmation email. Click the link in this email to activate your account.
If all goes well, you'll receive one final Welcome-to-NeighbourFinder email, and you can now sign in to the site.
Questions about Registering
I can't find the confirmation email, where is it?
Check your junk mail folder. It may have ended up in there. To prevent this in the future, you can add register@NeighbourFinder.co.uk and info@NeighbourFinder.co.uk and newsletter@NeighbourFinder.co.uk to your address book or safe list. In extreme cases you might have to turn off SPAM filters. If you need to resend the email, click on the link on the right side of the sign in page.
Can I change my username?
Usernames on NeighbourFinder cannot be changed, as this breaks our database and undermines our feedback system. We can close the account for you so that you can open a new one, but you will need to use a different email address and none of your information will be carried over. For security reasons usernames and emails can't be reused once they are in our system. Please contact support@NeighbourFinder.co.uk to do this.
I can't remember my password, what should I do?
If you cannot remember your password, just click on the "Reset your password" link on the sign in page. NeighbourFinder will send a temporary number that you can use to sign in with. You can change your password back to something you can remember by going to: Your NeighbourFinder > Account Info > Change password.
How do I close my account?
Please contact support@NeighbourFinder.com to have your account closed
Why can't I sign in?
You can't sign in if your account is not active. When you first registered with NeighbourFinder, we send you a Confirmation email. You'll just need to click on the link in this email to get started. If you need to resend the email to yourself, please click on the link at the right side of the sign in page. If you cannot find the email anywhere, you can try the following:
Check your junk mail
Add register@NeighbourFinder.co.uk and info@NeighbourFinder.co.uk and newsletter@NeighbourFinder.co.uk to your safe list or address book
Turn off your SPAM filters.
You might also be mistyping your password. Make sure CAPS LOCK is off. If you still can't sign in, you can follow the link on the sign in page to reset your password.
I have clicked the link in the first Confirmation Email, but I still don't have an active account, what do I do now?
Click on the "Manually confirm your account" link on the right side of the sign in page. All you need is the codeword from the most recent confirmation email and your email address. If you lost the first confirmation email, you can send yourself a new one by clicking on the "Resend the confirmation email" link, also on the right side of the sign in page.
When I try to register, it says my email address is already in use. What does this mean?
Once an email address is registered on NeighbourFinder, it can never be reused for a different account. You may close your extra accounts by contacting support@NeighbourFinder.co.uk, but the email addresses still cannot be reused.
I'm still stuck, what can I do?
If you've tried all the above, please email NeighbourFinder Customer Support at support@NeighbourFinder.co.uk and we'll help you right away. Please note that we do not currently offer phone support.
